October will again be coloured by comics! The Tinta comics festival will focus on the variety and breadth of contemporary comics creativity with a carefully curated selection of intriguing local and foreign guests and a diverse programme featuring exhibitions, lectures, talks, film screenings, a comics fair, storytelling and other events.
Tinta provides a glimpse into the colourful offerings of the latest Slovenian comic book releases, casting its gaze across borders to pursue the lively happening and trends at nearby comics scenes. Alongside tried and true comics classics, the festival presents fresh names and projects that go beyond comics and enter into a vibrant dialogue with various contemporary artistic practices.
The festival will take place from 2nd to 14th October at various locations in Ljubljana, as well as spilling over into Kranj and Koper. The organizational team again brings together numerous local comics, arts and culture figures.
More information about the programme is available on the festival website.
