SERIES OF CREATIVE RE:CYCLE WORKSHOPS
Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture (Ljubljana, Slovenia) is pleased to announce a series of creative Re:cycle workshops as part of the transnational project about young urban art What’s The Deal? The project explores the phenomena of consumption and sustainability in connection with young urban cultures and uses street art, design, and digital media as exemplary fields.
The workshops will be run by Petra Gosenca and Jurij Bobič (GUMB Association). Number of participants: up to 15. Please apply in advance to: kiosk@kinosiska.si.
CARDBOARD FURNITURE
June 13 and 14, 2014 (Friday 4–8 pm, Saturday 3–7 pm)
The two-day workshop will be dedicated to making furniture of various sizes from scrap cardboard. The first day we will be drawing precise designs (measures will be adapted for each particular piece of furniture to make it fit our home arrangements) and preparing the materials. The second day we will be gluing cardboard parts together, composing and varnishing them, as well as decorating them with collage patchworks and paints to match the needs of our flats.
Organised by: Kino Šiška (as part of What’s the Deal? project).
