The group exhibition, entitled Different Worlds will showcase works of young and emerging photographers from the Western Balkans region. The show will display their recent works and will thus provide an insight into the latest tendencies of contemporary photography in the broader region.
The exhibition is part of the initiative, called Young Contemporary Photography that encourages, evaluates and promotes the developments of young, non-yet-established, and emerging generations of artists and photographers, up to 35 years of age. In its fourth edition the contest explores themes of diversity, uniqueness and critical thought.
The exhibition is divided between two adjacent venues: Photon – Centre for Contemporary Photography and Kino Šiška. The participating artists have been selected by international jury: Sophia Greiff (FotoDoks, Munich) Jasna Jernejšek (Photon – Centre for Contemporary Photography, Ljubljana), Lara Plavčak (Kino Šiška, Ljubljana) in István Virágvölgyi (Robert Capa Center, Budapest).
Organised by Photon and Kino Šiška. Sponsor of the competition is Studio Okvir.
