The album that was released at the end of 2015 on the independent label God Bless This Mess from Prekmurje. will be presented for the very first time. Having received an incentive from Izštekani radio show, Iztok Koren and Matej Kolmanko have transformed their noisy hexenbrutal activity into an acoustic format, in which they were joined by the violinist and multi-instrumentalist Miha Kavaš. Featuring astounding new audio dimensions, the result can be heard on the recently released new album and will be performed live for the first time on the small stage of Kino Šiška. FB event>
The noise-industrial duo Hexenbrutal has been active since 2005. In 2006 they joined the fleet of the Club Marathon run under Radio Študent. After releasing their debut Think of me as a friend (2009) they toured the Balkans and Europe, performing everywhere from Berlin to Istanbul. Following their excellent second album Gaint (2013) and a short European tour, they finished the year by appearing in the Izštekani radio show on the Val 202 station, hosted by Jure Longyka. Quite some people were surprised at the exceptional unplugged sound in a different context where “noisy” had to be replaced with “acoustic – intimate”. In this show the duo, joined by Miha Kavaš (Mlada beltinška banda and Ethnotrip) on violin, played their tracks using a wide range of diverse acoustic instruments and sound sources.
In February 2014, the trio performed the same programme in MIKK club venue in Murska Sobota, where they also recorded the set released on the album. Recording and mixing was done by Plueg, the cover was designed by Gregor Purgaj, and the band decided to call themselves Hexenbrutal trio.
