Flamenco company CoraViento presents a new show I AM (NOT). A spectacular performance equally combining dance and live music is a coproduction of Slovenian and Hungarian team of exceptional artists from various fields. CoraViento’s special guest is Maria Keck, an outstanding Hungarian dancer, singer, composer and choreographer. Already becoming a renowned artist in Madrid, in her home-country and across the world, she brings in true uniqueness of vocal expression – flamenco enriched with Hungarian and Balkan Roma musical tradition.
I AM (NOT) is a fusion of traditional flamenco with an atypical music combined under the enormously powerful presence of Maria Keck. It is to become the ultimate fusion of CoraViento’s fascinations up to the present moment: the old school flamenco meets conceptually purified plot thread and an incredible imagination of Maria Keck. It is to be primarily a musical-dance performance, theatrically articulated and refined in its aesthetics that will, through movement and songs, contemplate reflection of the human being on the path of forging his/hers identity. The purpose of the project I AM (NOT) is to create an unprecedented instrumental dance performance to open new horizons of creativity on the Slovenian cultural scene.
