RECYCLING WORKSHOP

In this year marked by colour green, we continue to run the series of creative recycling workshops for youth.

Recycling shop is an educational, ecological, ethical and design-related project, having been organised in Kino Šiška in cooperation with GUMB Association for Fostering Creative Thinking and Living for the 5^th year in a row. By collecting and researching creative ways of processing waste materials into diverse unique and usable products, they have been initiating alternative options of solving the issue of waste and pollution of the living environment, as well as encouraging a positive attitude towards recycling, and ecologically responsible and committed conduct in individuals.

23 April 2016 from 2 to 6 pm, KOMUNA
RECYCLED WALL HANGERS (creative workshop for youth and everyone else)

At the Recycling workshop in April, we will be toying with quite untypical waste materials with the support of mentors from GUMB Association. We will be using Barbie legs, remains of coloured pencils and felt-tip pens as well as toothbrushes, and together with waste pieces of wood turning them into really unique wall hangers.

21 May 2016 from 2 to 6 pm, KOMUNA
PAPER CURLINGS (creative workshop for youth and everyone else)

At the Recycling workshop in May we will be exploring the possibilities of using waste paper in a creative way. We will be folding and curling waste magazines and newspapers into colourful bowls, mats and boxes for any occasion – for fruits and sweets, for the teapot and coffee maker, for jewellery and hidden treasures.

Workshop attendance is free of charge and open to anyone aged 15 and above. The number of participants is limited. Please apply in advance by writing to: drustvo.gumb@gmail.com.
