Šiška Deluxe is a bittersweet comedy about three friends, their dramatic and comical situations intertwined to leave no viewer unimpressed. With this film for middle and younger generations, director Jan Cvitkovič returns to the origins, i.e. the traditional storytelling.
This is a story of three childhood friends: Fedr, Mile and Zekir, who are aware to be past their prime, but don’t know how to grow up properly. They have already tackled various things but never taken anything seriously enough and therefore never succeeded. When one of them loses his aunt and inherits a small office from her, they decide to try and open a pizza place. At first this seems to be just another project doomed to fail, thanks to all the unsolved problems each of them has. However, mysterious Milena appears just at the right moment, coming to the aid of the unpromising caterers. The film traces the protagonists’ ups and downs, both in their personal and business lives. However, even eternally young men eventually grow up and that is exactly what happens to the protagonists of the film Šiška Deluxe.
Posing as the axis around which the film suddenly turns into an unexpected direction, five-year-old Kristina suddenly leaves without a word. This leads to a great deal of excitement, but also sober judgement, which eventually helps the scattered jigsaw pieces to compose an almost idyllic image.
Even eternally young men eventually grow up and that is exactly what happens to the protagonists of the film Šiška Deluxe, where the comedy and drama intertwine in a canter, never ever questioning the happy ending.
