This year’s edition of Tactics & Practice finds its starting point in the seminal Critical Engineering Manifesto (Oliver, Savičić, Vasiliev, 2011). It will explore how critical media art can exploit engineering – according to the manifesto, “the most transformative language of our time” – to intervene in the world and raise awareness about how “written code expands into social and psychological realms.”
