Globally renowned Slovenian producer Gramatik, one of our more prominent music exports, will once again fill the Križanke open-air theatre with his finely crafted beats! The music industry visionary, renowned not just for his signature music style and epic shows all over the world, but also his unusual approach to offering music freely and his innovative use of modern technology such as blockchain, will perform in Ljubljana as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Kino Šiška.
New York based electronic producer Denis Jašarević aka Gramatik, originally from the Slovenian coastal area, makes catchy instrumental beats influenced by blues, funk, soul and jazz, selling out venues all over the world – including festival giants such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.
With his strong beliefs in music as a free medium, Gramatik is one of the few such stars who offer their extensive discography online completely free of charge, and even established the Lowtemp label in 2013 with the aim of furthering this mission. The label offers extensive support to promising artists from all over the world, including local musicians such as Emiljo A.C., Luxas and Whynnel.
In 2017, Gramatik became one of the first musicians in the world to “tokenize” himself through blockchain technology, raising the maximum amount of nearly 2.5 million dollars with his own cryptocurrency, but this hasn’t stopped him from making music. At his return to Križanke, where he previously stunned us with amazing shows in 2014 and 2016, we can therefore look forward to fresh material and yet another unforgettable party under the command of this global star.
