Can we free ourselves from everyday expectations and established rules in art if we use a dry plant or a discarded lollipop stick to draw instead of a pencil? Can a brush suggest a theme? Is a medium already a message?
At the workshop, which will be conducted by Finnish comics artists Kati Rapia and Terhi Ekebom from the Kutikuti collective, participants shall embark on the exploration of the local surroundings and their own creativity with found objects and self-made brushes – and perhaps gain new perspectives on both as a result!
The workshop is part of the exhibition Hope by the Finnish comics association Kutikuti. The workshop will be held in English.
