TRANSCARDUS – A BALKANSKI STORY
Italy, 2024, 19’
Directed by: Elisa Bessega
Transcardus tells the story of the first ski-mountaineering traverse of the Sharr Massif: an authentic adventure across the lesser-known peaks of the Balkans, straddling the border between Kosovo and Macedonia, led by steep skier and mountain guide Enrico Mosetti. Through the lens of skiing, the film reveals the rugged beauty and timeless allure of a region still unexplored in its winter guise, offering a profound contrast to the nearby, bustling Alps. Filmed in a raw, documentary style by the expedition members, Transcardus captures the journey without the support of external film crews, offering a realistic perspective on the challenges of this pioneering traverse.
