LEXIKON II. – Jan Kopač – Asterié

concert

Walk-up 5 €

discounted 2.60 €

Following the successful premiere of The Birth of a Folk Song, the ensemble led by Jan Kopač returns to Kino Šiška.

Their new work, Asterié, stylistically follows the model of Boccaccio’s Decameron, creating a cohesive final performance through a selection of compositions, where other members of the ensemble also take on the role of composers by crafting their own miniatures. The individual pieces are thematically linked by a common thread shaped by astrological signs, distance, travel, and time. Within the performative context, the ensemble continues to explore spatial interventions, the connection between music and movement, and various elements of theatre. The concert marks the conclusion of a three-day residency as part of the [studio for urban music] program by the .abeceda Institute.
