Smrdel Brothers Collective is a musical collective led by bassist Peter Smrdel and drummer Žiga Smrdel, both top-tier musicians of the younger generation.
The group was first formed as a backing band for the 30th anniversary of the radio show Izštekani (Unplugged) on Val 202. At a sold-out Križanke Open-Air Theatre, Peter and Žiga, together with 17 team members, arranged and performed the greatest hits of renowned Slovenian musicians such as Vlado Kreslin, Siddharta, Vazz, Laibach, Fed Horses, Mrfy, and many others.

Marina Mårtensson, a Swedish-Slovenian vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, has made her mark on the international music scene with her outstanding performances and artistic collaborations. Her concert career with the legendary Slovenian group Laibach has taken her to stages across Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, and Tasmania. As a co-writer and lead vocalist, she has contributed to Laibach’s albums, and since 2018, she has performed at prestigious venues and festivals such as Astra Kulturhaus in Berlin, the Pula Arena in Croatia, and Exit Festival in Serbia.
She developed the new project at the invitation of the Smrdel Brothers Collective, with whom she created original music blending elements of soul, R&B, and hip hop. Peter and Žiga started working on ideas for original material during the pandemic in 2020, and the songs were premiered in the summer of 2024 at the Jazzinty Festival.

Flozell is a dynamic 11-piece band that blends funk, jazz, rock, and soul. It was founded in 2014 by keyboardist, composer, and producer Rob Bargad, who also writes all of the songs. For nearly a decade, he was a member of Nat Adderley’s band, performing around the world and recording eight albums with them. He has also collaborated with numerous other renowned musicians, including The Harper Brothers, Jimmy Cobb’s Mobb, Gloria Lynne, Jeannie Bryson, Roy Hargrove, Laverne Butler, The Walter Booker Quintet, Bud Shank, Curtis Fuller, Keiji Matsushima, Yoichi “Monkey” Kobayashi, vocalist Scotty Wright, and pop singer-songwriter Justin Tracy.
With his extensive musical knowledge and experience, Rob shapes Flozell’s unique sound, with exceptional vocalist Karin Zemljič truly shining through. The band draws inspiration from musical greats such as Santana, Earth, Wind & Fire, MeShell NdegeOcello, James Taylor, Steely Dan, and Jimi Hendrix. In 2015, they released their debut album Truth, which quickly sold out. Following the successful release and an international tour, the band now comes together only for special concerts and exclusive events.
