Three decades ago, the working people were longing for their first computer experience. Although the state had declared its plans on computerisation, it was forbidden to import personal computers, which, of course, could not prevent an increasing number of young enthusiasts from setting the milestones of popular computer science in our former country. Technics to the People is a first-hand story on the 8-bit scene in Slovenia. On Radio Študent, the Moj Mikro magazine, the Kontrabant game, as well as bootlegging and software pirates. It is a story of untameable creative charge, which today, after so much time, we can only bow to, and have a nice laugh.
