iHUMAN is a political thriller about artificial intelligence, power and social control. With unique deep access to the inside of the booming AI industry, this film shows how the most powerful and far-reaching technology of our time is changing our lives, our society and our future. The documentary follows pioneers at the frontline of the invisible AI revolution to see how this technology is developed and implemented. Through some of the brightest minds in the AI industry iHuman draws the roadmap to where we are going. Who punches in what codes for our future? How does AI impact who we are?
iHUMAN, will be premiered in Slovenia (equipped with Slovenian subtitles) by Aksioma in collaboration with Kino Šiška, as part of our ongoing series of events Akcija! (since 2012).
BIOGRAPHY
Tonje Hessen Schei (NO) is an award-winning artist and filmmaker whose work focuses on new technologies, human rights, the environment and social justice.
Her work has been featured and written about in national and international media including the BBC, CNN, the Guardian, the Monocle, Vice, Wired, Al Jazeera, Huffington Post, Democracy Now! and screened or displayed on all continents in over 100 countries.
She is the author of Drone (2014), a documentary on the secret CIA drone warfare, which has won several international awards including the Amanda Award (the Norwegian Oscar equivalent) for Best Documentary 2015.
