This year, the seventh edition of the AppointMENT commercial exhibition project of music art posters will take place. The project was launched in 2016 with the aim of expanding the visual part of the MENT Ljubljana festival and at the same time reviving and questioning the very form of the music and art poster. This year, the 71 artists were assigned one of the festival’s music acts, whose music served as their main source of inspiration for creating the poster. Taking the form of unique, limited-edition music art posters, the results will be on display at the exhibition.
This year’s edition of the AppointMENT project was created using the digital printing technique, whose rich colour palette and multitude of production tools enable artists to produce prototypes and variations with which to achieve a unique expression. The printing was taken care of by the Artiko company. Since the guiding principle of this year’s MENT is to create connections with musicians from the Baltic countries, we also invited artists from the Baltics to create the posters. With the help of artists active in different fields, the long-standing, almost traditional project presents a colourful and diverse set of posters each year.
