One of the most successful metal acts of all time, Avenged Sevenfold, will finally play Slovenia for the first time. Inspiring countless bands and winning over a passionate fanbase with their technical proficiency and genre-blending approach, the Grammy-nominated band will perform in the magical open-air setting of the former Križanke monastery in Ljubljana.
Bursting onto the scene at the turn of the millennium, Avenged Sevenfold soon followed through on the promise of their early albums, gradually shifting from raw metalcore to the more polished and melodic approach of standout releases such as City of Evil and their self-titled fourth album. Known their versatile sound, the band channeled elements of metalcore, hard rock, and progressive metal, often characterised by intricate guitar solos, powerful vocals, and dramatic storytelling, into everlasting anthems such as “Bat Country”, “Afterlife”, and “Almost Easy”.
Having solidified their place in mainstream rock and metal, the band persevered through the tragic passing of founding drummer The Rev. Continuing their musical evolution on albums such as the chart-topping Nightmare, the classical metal-inspired Hail to the King, or the conceptual The Stage, A7X continued putting in the work on concert stages as well, developing a reputation as a ferocious live act and drawing massive crowds at festivals such as Download and Rock am Ring, as well as their own headline tours.
The band’s ability to continually reinvent themselves while maintaining their signature intensity has garnered them numerous awards and established them as one of the most innovative and enduring acts in contemporary metal. They’re bringing their full arsenal to bear in Ljubljana in June 2025 for an unmissable show.
