Deadline: 5 November 2024
At the writing workshop for artists, we’ll take a closer look at the various texts that artists have to prepare themselves during their career, such as a CV, project/work description or artist statement. We’ll talk about how to adapt these texts to various contexts, for example, for one’s portfolio, tender application, exhibition, or publishing online.
Based on the submitted texts, we will address useful guidelines for writing, touch on some common dilemmas, and help participants improve their texts.
The workshop is primarily aimed at young artists, but other professions in contemporary art that encounter writing are also welcome (curators, critics, producers, journalists, etc.).
The free workshop will be held in the Slovenian language and last about two horse. The number of places is limited.
The workshop is organized by the World of Art School for Curators and Critics of Contemporary Art, currently teaching its 20th generation, and the DobraVaga Gallery. It will be led by Lara Plavčak, contemporary art curator and co-head of the World of Art School, which is part of SCCA-Ljubljana.
