Kristijan Krajnčan – cello solo
Kristijan Krajnčan is a versatile musician – a cellist, drummer and composer in one person. In recent years, he has also been involved in directing and scenography. In 2020, he received an award at the prestigious Zbigniew Seifert Jazz Competition in Poland. He first turned heads years ago with the DrummingCellist project, in which he simultaneously plays the cello and drums and combines jazz, classical and folk music. This time he will present his latest project The Mountains Roared, in which he musically explores his Slovenian roots. It is a project that combines tradition and innovation, as it turns to the distant past to find a way to the future. The concert will be part of the Cellofest Ljubljana festival, which will take place in Ljubljana between October 10 and 16 and will also be the official release of Kristijan Krajnčan’s new album The Mountains Roared.
