Iconic Zagreb hip hop band Elemental, one of the most successful bands in the region, is celebrating an illustrious quarter-century career in 2023. They’ll be bringing the festivities to Šiška in May, playing songs from their multiple award-winning albums in one of their famously energetic live shows.
Since they started as a tight trio in 1998, Elemental has grown into a full-blooded seven-piece band known for its eclectic, inspiring live performances and organic musical blend of hip hop, funk, soul and rock. Over 25 years, they’ve racked up no fewer than eight albums, 60 million views on YouTube, and almost 1,000 concerts, including some of the biggest festivals in the region, and even opened for Amy Winehouse on her last performance. They’ve won multiple prestigious Croatian music awards, and their latest album Ilica unintentionally became the soundtrack of a wounded city after their hometown was devastated by an earthquake.
None of that is to say that Elemental are getting ready to call it quits – far from it, in fact. The band is already gearing up to release new music, undoubtedly featuring the realistic, piercing and brutally honest lyricism that has made Elemental such a beloved musical force. In 2023, one of the most sought-after live bands in the Balkans will be playing a series of anniversary shows, culminating in a spectacular concert at the Šalata stadium in Zagreb in June. They’ll be warming up for the biggest headline show of their career in Šiška as well, so come on down and join the party in May.
