We’re thrilled to announce that gypsy punk pioneers Gogol Bordello will be bringing their exhilarating live show back to Ljubljana! They’ll be joined by the potent grime, punk rock and hip-hop fusion of Bob Vylan, one of the most vital voices of righteous rage in the UK right now.

FOR FANS OF: Fanfare Ciocarlia, Kultur Shock, BGKO …

Gogol Bordello, the dynamic ensemble renowned for pioneering the “gypsy punk” genre, masterfully blends Eastern European musical traditions with the raw energy of punk rock. Formed in New York City in 1999, the band is celebrated for its eclectic fusion of Romani rhythms, punk intensity, and diverse global influences, creating an electrifying and theatrical live experience.

Fronted by the charismatic Ukrainian-born Eugene Hütz, Gogol Bordello has carved a unique niche in the music world. Working with acclaimed producers such as Rick Rubin and Steve Albini, they’ve assembled an impressive discography, with critically acclaimed albums such as Super Taranta! and Trans-Continental Hustle showcasing their innovative sound and storytelling prowess. Their latest release, 2022’s Solidaritine, reflects their ongoing commitment to blending diverse musical styles and addressing contemporary themes.

Gogol Bordello’s relentless touring schedule and high-octane performances alongside acts such as System of a Down, Primus, Rancid, and Dropkick Murphys have earned them a dedicated global following. They’ve also brought their unbridled spirit to major festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza, captivating audiences with their infectious energy and multicultural soundscapes. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience their unparalleled fusion of punk fervor and world music traditions when they return to Ljubljana this September.

Despite the singular name, Bob Vylan is actually an explosive London-based duo blending grime, punk rock, and hip-hop into a powerful sound that confronts social and political issues. Since their debut album We Live Here, they’ve gained acclaim for their fearless commentary on racism, inequality, and systemic oppression. Their second album, Bob Vylan Presents the Price of Life (2022), won Best Album at the Kerrang! Awards, cementing their status as one of the most vital voices in modern music.
