John F. Doe is a rock band that was founded in 2010 when a group of friends was brought together by their desire to create unique and outstanding music. At first they were seeking to secure gigs and live performances, and this year they released their debut album, JFD. Strong vocals and a marked vibrato of the vocalist, Marko Zemljič, adds to the diverse technical aspects, melodic lines and the use of various sound effects as delivered by Aleš Svetina on guitar and Luka Zemljič on keyboards and backing vocals. Their dynamic rhythm section is composed of Bojan Marinko on drums and Tilen Knaflič on bass. Their music is a fusion of genres, mostly focusing on indie and garage rock.
John F. Doe present their debut, JFD, exploring life journeys through various periods of time. 10 tracks stand for the past two years in their creativity and search for the right sounds. Recorded live, the album hints at the closeness of the band and the freedom each instrument is allowed to achieve the desired result. The harmony and dynamics are adjusted accordingly, the final result being supported with the raw sound of instruments and vocals. The album that was self-released reflects the energetic personality of the band and will as such soon be presented officially at the upcoming promo gig also featuring a special guest – Samuel Blues.
