Blu funk master Keziah Jones is coming to Ljubljana!
Keziah Jones is one of the leading guitarists and singers, who has held the lead position among musicians in his genre for 20 years already. He managed to combine the Afrobeat of his idol Fela Kuti with funk, soul and rock ‘n’ roll in a unique and humble way. Global hits, such as “Rhythm Is Love”, “Million Miles from Home” and “My Kinda Girl”, conquer charts all over the world, with his rare concerts a special treat and the best guarantee for a funk-inspired Afroparty.
Keziah will be accompanied by his new band, which has also collaborated on his upcoming new album, so we expect nothing less than a phenomenal spectacle to be remembered for a long time. With his unique playing style the Nigerian singer, songwriter, composer and guitarist actually invented his own genre, which he calls blu funk. In addition to Fela Kuti, his idols are Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix, and his music’s mix of African rhythm, funk and blues brings a unique moment and strong dancing drive to Afrobeat.
