Two vital young voices of the Slovenian music scene that you should not miss!
The last Saturday in March is bringing back MENT vibes to Kino Šiška. The double concert includes KiKi, a refreshing act on the local music scene marked by a unique folk pop aesthetic, eerie undertones and captivating storytelling delivered through hypnotic harmonies, and Nejc Pipp, who is presenting his mystical and pensive fusion of R&B, electronica and jazz with his band.
KiKi
KiKi is one of the most mesmerising voices of the new wave of Slovenian folk and pop. In her dramatically conceived stories, which often sound like confessions that burst forth directly from her soul, the young musician describes the mysteries of local folklore and culture, sharing her intimate reflections with the listeners. In early 2023, she released her debut album KRiKi, which sounds best live with a full band.
Nejc Pipp
Nejc Pipp is a Slovenian singer, songwriter and producer. His voice effortlessly navigates the fusion of R&B, electronica, jazz and ambient. Weaving moody melodic narratives with tight beats, Pipp creates sonic landscapes that resonate with emotional depth. He made a resounding entry into the music scene with his performance at MENT 2024 by unveiling his second album Entropy. Music critics describe his act as a raw gem that operates with profound and sincere poetry, unexpected for such a young spirit.
