The French icons of glamorous psych-punk La Femme are headlining the MENT opening ceremony!
With their debut Psycho Tropical Berlin, released a decade ago, and all that followed, La Femme have obsessed generations. They are one of those bands that combines familiar and unfamiliar sounds into a unique blend without borders or language barriers. Following three albums in French, La Femme switched to Spanish last year and released the album Teatro Lúcido. It is a diary of their travels in Spain and Mexico, which strongly influenced their sound. This eclectic sonic cocktail is inspired by their international adventures, drawing inspiration from the Semana Santa marches, the pasodoble, reggaeton, Andalusian and Brazilian rhythms, the classical guitar, castanets, trumpets and the 80s countercultural movement La Movida. A sensation that must be experienced live!
The 9th edition of MENT will take place at more than 15 concert and conference venues around Ljubljana. Focusing on new, stylistically diverse acts, MENT Ljubljana showcases up-and-coming and established artists from all over Europe. The MENT conference is also an indispensable part of the festival, attracting hundreds of professionals from all over the world, who visit Ljubljana to enjoy the wide-ranging music programme, make new acquaintances, meet professionals from the Balkan region, strengthen their networks and get the latest updates on trends in the music industry.
