Little re:cycling is a series of creative recycling workshops intended for children and youth aged 8 to 15, organised by GUMB Association.
The workshops will teach participants in a relaxed way how to use various waste materials creatively to make useful and also nice-looking objects. Waste plastic bottles will be used to make pencil cases, electric cables will be turned into bracelets, we will be learning about Japanese bookbinding to make notepads and journals, and metal caps will be used for badges. Young participants will be learning about various art techniques and crafts, while also being encouraged to a positive attitude towards recycling and to being responsible towards the environment.
In October, we will meet at three Little Re:cycling workshops: first on Wednesday 9 October and then twice during the autumn holidays, i.e. on Monday 28 October and Wednesday 30 October. The workshops series will continue in November and December.
Attendance to all workshops is free of charge and open to all children and youth aged 8 to 15. Workshops will be hosted by Petra Gosenca and Jurij Bobič from GUMB Association.
For groups (5-15 children aged 8 to 15), a workshop can be organised free of charge at other times based on previous arrangement.
