The fresh singer-songwriter project Maali is the brainchild of talented trumpeter and guitarist Mate Picukarić, one of the most intriguing new faces of the Zagreb music scene. His first single “Fall” received a great response from reviewers and listeners alike last year and represents a kind of cross between the author’s affinity for Bon-Iver-style indie and ambitious instrumentals. Experts are already wondering whether Picukarić could lead the way for the rebirth of Croatian indie and singer-songwriter music, and we’ll see which direction he’s heading in live.
Summer in Šiška is a series of free evening concerts, helping you chase away the social distancing blues. If the weather cooperates, we’ll cool off with a refreshing drink on the summer terrace of Café Kino Šiška, and if it looks to be raining, we’ll listen to good tunes in accordance with applicable public health regulations beneath the roof of our Komuna Hall.
