Participants of the drawing workshop with acclaimed German illustrator Ute Helmbold will head out onto the street with their sketchbooks, trying to capture snapshots of the city and fragments of urban stories in black-and-white drawings. They’ll continue their work at the DobraVaga Gallery, where they will make a collaborative zine from the sketches and notes, under the guidance of Helmbold.
Ute Helmbold (1958, Bremen) is a German illustrator and professor at the Braunschweig University of Art. She is the author of the comic book novel The Rider on the White Horse, published in Slovenian this year by VigeVageKnjige. She lives and works in Essen.
