In their new project with RTV Slovenia Big Band, composer, pianist and conductor Milko Lazar and trumpeter and composer Igor Matković will present their latest original compositions, written specially for the occasion. Igor Matković will be the principal soloist, with Milko Lazar conducting the orchestra.
The musicians first collaborated on Matković‘s State of KU project in 2016. As long-time sonic explorers in various music fields, from contemporary composed music to ambient electronic experiments, they determined that they could feature their joint exploration in the context of a larger orchestra.
At Kino Šiška, they will present their fresh view of the intersection between composed and freely improvised music in cooperation with RTV Slovenia Big Band with soloists, and guests – drummer and cellist Kristijan Kranjčan and guitarist Jani Moder.
