This installment of the so.und.ing duo series features musicians, sound designers and performers, who utilise open-source software in their compositions and performances, and taking advantage of the algorithmic errors of archaic and contemporary technology in innnovative ways.
Luka Prinčič aka Nova deViator will premiere the composition Resonating Places, Now, in which he analyzes the occurrence of resonance, while Goto80 (Anders Carlsson) will perform his improvised composition Ljubljana on an 8-bit Commodore 64, with no previously prepared elements. Their joint song General Purpose Users was inspired by Olia Lialina‘s quote: “We, the general, everyday users, who inquire as to what we can do with a computer, are the main participants of the symbiosis between computer and man.”
