In 2006, when we were working on the publication of the 100th issue of the Maska magazine, we invited the artists featured in the magazine to develop the concept for a distant future, for the year 2023, when the 200th issue would be published. Eventually, the latter was published already in 2020, as the rhythm of the publication had become more intense, 2023 has also arrived, and with it the time to realize the projects that so far exist only as bare potentialities. We invited local artists to present these projects between 25 and 29 September at the Old Power Station (Stara mestna elektrarna) – Elektro Ljubljana, Kino Šiška, DUM Project Space, and ELIAS 2069 institute. In doing so, we have left the question of the future – which will also be addressed at the discursive events – somewhat open, as we do not want continuities and their breakings to end simply with the here and now.
