OFF THE HOOK is an exhibition project by the DobraVaga Gallery in Ljubljana, presenting the rich production of young artists working in Slovenia on the international stage.
Following exhibitions in Berlin, Budapest, Vienna, Belgrade, Osijek and online, as well as a one-year hiatus, we are returning to the KULA Gallery in Belgrade with the seventh edition. This time, the exhibition un/bound delves into the study of the figure and the body as central elements in the exploration of identity, the intimacy of relationships and the complexity of the human experience. The exhibition features artists Ema Kobal, Lenča Malec, Sangara Perhaj, Tereza Prepadnik, Marko Šajn and Marijo Županov.

OFF THE HOOK is a traveling exhibition project, organised by the DobraVaga Gallery (Ljubljana, Slovenia). Taken literally, the exhibition title winks at the identity of DobraVaga as a gallery in a former fish market, as well as at the artwork that has slipped off the hook of its domestic confines. The exhibition aims to provide the international professional and general public with a glimpse of the current contemporary Slovenian production of artists featured at DobraVaga.
DobraVaga is an exhibition and project space, gallery and open studio of various artistic languages, styles and content. The program places an emphasis on the aesthetic reflections of the younger generation of artists, the generation that represents the junction of possibilities, explorations and current contexts of artistic production in the modern age. The mission of the new artistic initiative is to encourage creativity that does not accede to the established definition that the art world depends only on the classic artistic market. That is why DobraVaga focuses on new, engaged and innovative formats, using them to actively support, encourage and promote fresh releases of artistic stories and original artistic practices.
