AYDE, a spontaneous series of art zines, was made alongside the zine workshops that Oleg organises and conducts annually at the Fažana Urban Culture Space. Although he usually addresses various topics, the most recent edition focuses mainly on the motif of death, though it never represents his primary starting point.
Using various details and excerpts from books, he explores the themes of death and passing through thoughtfully arranged graphics, collages of comics, illustrations, photographs and typography. With a constant premonition of death, he often looks to the past, to the many people and relationships and especially the works of art, graphics and paintings he leaves behind. Although at first glance the content seems gloomy, his main motto remains throughout the experimentation and artistic work; one has to “screw around” in life and not take it too seriously if at all possible.
