The seasoned comic book master Zoran Smiljanić will take us behind the scenes of the comic book biography Plečnik (in pika) (MGLM and Forum Ljubljana, 2021).
Using examples from the comic book, he will give us a closer look at the work process and the process of creating comics, from the script written by historian Blaž Vurnik, through the first sketches and to the final pages of the comic book. He will also reveal a few tricks of comic book direction and scene composition, and highlight the biggest challenges and obstacles he encountered in the comic book depiction of Plečnik’s life and his architectural masterpieces.
