SOUL, RNB, FUNK, HIPHOP … This March, we celebrate and dance at Kino Šiška!
It has been exactly 20 years since the first Sladica Party, organized on the last Friday of March 2005 at club Vamos, under the Tivoli Hall (formerly Palma, Sub Sub), marking the release of the legendary Sladica Mixtape 1.
Since then, 10 mixtapes, 47 Sladica parties, and 12 Sladica Live events have been created. The initial lineup for this event features DJ Zeds, DJ K’Pow, and DJ Bayo, but don’t worry – more artists will be announced in the coming weeks!
Sladica is more than just a party. It is a music project by one of the pioneers of the Slovenian DJ scene and a co-founder of the Radyoyo crew. It began as the radio show Sladica RNB Soul at the turn of the millennium, in the year 2000, on Radio Gama MM.
In 2005, the first mixtape, Sladica I, was released, and the first Sladica Party was held at Club Vamos. The debut event gathered 150 attendees, while the second edition already saw 400. This was followed by new mixtapes, unforgettable parties across Ljubljana, three events in Maribor, and one in Zagreb. In 2013, Sladica took the stage for the first time with Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators, followed by a collaboration with The Brand New Heavies. In 2018, Sladica Band was formed, releasing their first original album in 2021.
Now, Sladica Party returns to where it all began—to Kino Šiška in Ljubljana!
