While we’re eagerly awaiting the fifth edition of the TINTA comics festival in autumn, we’re inviting you to Spilt Ink – a series of (online) lectures and discussions about comics with experts and fans of this artistic discipline.
This time, Ana Bogataj will present the history of comics critique in Slovenia, from its beginnings 50 years ago, when France Zupan published his text Masovna kultura – strip in the magazine Problemi, through Igor Vidmar, Ivo Štandeker, Max Modic, Mladina, Stripburger, Pogledi, Literatura, Stripofilija and Striptiz … to the situation today – what is happening with comics critique today, where we can read something about comics, who is writing about comics, and how to even write about comics and why.
Ana Bogataj is active as a writer, proofreader and editor. She is a member of the editorial office of Stripburger magazine and the main editor of its supplement Stripburgerjeva čitanka, which published texts about comics, comics critique, reflection and theory.
The event will be streamed live via the Kino Šiška YouTube channel and the TINTA comics festival Facebook page.
Organisation: Kino Šiška.
Free access.
