In March, Stripolis will revisit its roots in a Skype-based event. The visiting guest this time will be the US comic strip artist Derf Backderf whose recent autobiographical album on his teenage friendship with one of the most notorious US murderers ever, Jeff Dahmer, has earned him the US comic strip Oscar, Eisner, as well as an award for a major breakthrough at the current edition of the largest European comics festival in Angoulême, France. Derf’s comic My Friend Dahmer being a moving study of the capabilities of the US culture to create monsters out of extreme indifference, a session with the authors is an opportunity not to be missed.
