A socialising event for all comics artists and lovers
In May Stripolis will again be hosting the image and voice of an internationally infamous comic book artist over the Internet: this time it will be Bastien Vivès, one of the most celebrated French younger generation authors. Six years ago, aged only twenty-five, he received the Angoulême Festival Revelation Award for his second album, A Taste of Chlorine, exploring a romance at a public pool. Dedicated to the career of a young Russian ballerina, his next book, Polina, was awarded the Grand Prix by the French comic book critics three years later. Both albums have been translated into several languages, including English and Croatian, and Polina is currently being adapted into a film. This year, Vivès together with his co-authors won the award for best series in Angoulême. This talk with the dab hand is an event not to be missed.
