Woomb are singer/songwriter Hristo Yordanov and composer/ producer Gueorgui Linev, founder of Kan Wakan. The duo from London and Sofia formed the project after a chance encounter at a house party and share a love of artists such as Cocteau Twins, Björk, Nick Drake, Slowdive and Portishead.
Their first single “Last Rays” came out as a video in October, combining Bulgarian pagan symbols, Greek mythology and biblical elements, and their upcoming debut EP promises a similar sound. Woomb played their first sold-out concert in Sofia last year, and their shows are characterised by very intense and energetic performances.
Summer in Šiška is a series of free evening concerts on Wednesdays for summer get-togethers and bonding over music. In good weather, you can cool down with a refreshing drink in hand in the summer garden of the Kino Šiška Café, and in case of rain, you can enjoy the music under the roof of our Komuna Hall.
