In October, the Tinta Ljubljana Comics Festival will again provide a wide array of events for comics fans, from exhibitions, lectures, talks, workshops, film screenings and storytelling events to a comics fair, drawing and socialising with Slovenian and foreign comics artists.
The festival will host four renowned masters of the comics art: legendary British comics artist David Lloyd, the illustrator of the famed V for Vendetta, Belgian Olivier Schrauwen, currently one of the hottest and most unique authors in the world of alternative comics, the veteran French master of light and shadow play Marc-Antoine Mathieu, whose each work questions and shifts the limits of the genre, and Bastien Vivès, one of the main figures of the new generation of French comics.
The main festival events will take place from 10 to 12 October at various locations in Ljubljana, with a rich accompanying programme ensuring that almost the entire month will be coloured in comics, with Tinta spilling over to Koper, Kranj and Maribor as well.
