U pol ‘9 kod Sabe is a mixed group formed in 2009 in the Zagreb apartment of their former bass player Saba – hence the unusual name of the band.
The group’s intelligent indie pop is drawing an increasing number of people to their shows, clubs and festivals, such as Medika, Factory, Cest is d’best, VOX, L-fest, KSET, Sax! …
The humorous and melodic songs at the crossroads of indie pop and cabaret are written by keyboardist Ana Opalić and singer Martina Zvonić, with the band also including Marko Lucijan (guitar and saxophone), Helena Ernoić (bass) and Zrinka Kolarić (drums).
The group has received the Croatian Musicians Union (HGU) award for Best Live Performance (Karlovac RockOff Festival 2016).
