Within literary production, the Fabula festival also pays attention to art design, a visual marker of a reader’s first contact with a book. You can see how this year’s Fabula book collection lives through the illustrations of artist Tereza Prepadnik at an exhibition of the creative process, which will be on display at the DobraVaga Gallery in Ljubljana for the entire duration of the festival.

Tereza Prepadnik (1995) deluje na področju ilustracije in oblikovanja. Študij oblikovanja vizualnih komunikacij na UL ALUO je dopolnjevala na Academy of Design and Crafts v Gothenburgu. Njena dela so bila med drugim razstavljena na skupinskih razstavah v Galeriji Kresija, Cankarjevem domu, Mestnem muzeju Ljubljana, Kinu Šiška in v Plečnikovi hiši. Redno razstavlja na Slovenskem bienalu ilustracije in Vodnikovem sejmu ilustracije. In 2022, Mladinska Knjiga Publishing House published her book illustration debut Bleščivka (by Špela Frlic), with which she qualified for the World Illustration Awards. She illustrates for clients in a variety of fields, from science and technology to advertising and culture. In her work, she is mainly interested in the meeting of man and nature. She strives for her drawing to be as relaxed as possible, even childlike.
