One of the most prominent Slovenian rappers of the new generation Vazz will debut his long-awaited third album Kodeks in Šiška, accompanied by various guests. We’ll warm up with the trio of Arne, Tao and Žena.
With rapid and quality development of music production and powerful lyrics that come to life in his original songs, Mark Jacob Cavazza aka Vazz undoubtedly ranks among the leading faces of the new rap generation on the Slovenian scene. With two solo albums in 2018 and 2019, supported by producers Hyu, YNGFirefly and Emiljo AC, among others, he established himself as one of the most prominent young hip-hop artists in Slovenia. He kept the momentum going during lockdown as well, appearing in out online stream, among other things.
He will return to Šiška for the release of his new, third album Kodeks, which carries a pure expression, refined ideas and insight into his world of reality. To top it all off, his performance will be spiced up with the refreshing energy of bassist Peter Smrdel and drummer Žiga Smrdel. A dance explosion that is not to be missed!
We’ll warm up with the “three’s company” team of Arne, Žena and Tao. Long-time acquaintances Arne and Tao won us over at last year’s Tresk #12 festival with their charismatic performance, hints of British street life, skilful rhymes and fresh production, while Žena has been turning heads in recent years with her old-school approach, strong lyrics and numerous excellent singles – her “Blossom” session is by far the most watched of the Slovenian acts featured on the MENT Ljubljana YouTube channel. Their many collaborations showcase the good chemistry between the three, so this promises to be a truly top-notch hip hop evening.
