Diligent folk punker We Bless This Mess, whom we’ve met as a solo act in Šiška and at the MENT Ljubljana and Punk Rock Holiday festivals, is coming back in January with a full-fledged band and a new album. We’ll warm up with local punk stalwarts Real Life Version.
In recent years, Nelson Graf Reis, also a tattoo artist and head of indie label Oh Lee Records, has taken his guitar, heartfelt vocals and positive attitude all over Europe as We Bless This Mess, also hopping across the pond to SXSW and stopping at renowned festivals such as Reeperbahn, Sziget and Europavox. This time around, he and his band will present their September release Awareness Songs & Side Stories, which has received praise for its wonderful arrangements, clear production and brutal sincerity.
One year after celebrating the release of Furious Winds and Ice Cold Showers, local veterans Real Life Version, whose nearly 15 years old career is driven by strong dedication to their local hardcore scene, friendship and DIY ethics, are returning to Šiška. The band, whose members are also active in The Hoax Program, Mart and Bed Religion, will turn the temperature up with its melodic punk and tried-and-true energetic show.
