At the writing workshop for artists, we’ll take a closer look at the various texts that artists have to prepare themselves during their career, such as a CV, project/work description or artist statement. We’ll talk about how to adapt these texts to various contexts, for example, for one’s portfolio, tender application or exhibition.
We are organising the workshop in cooperation with SCCA, Center for Contemporary Arts – Ljubljana, whose World of Art School for Curators and Critics of Contemporary Art has been running for 25 years. The workshop will be led by the school’s associates Lara Plavčak and Miha Kelemina.
The workshop will be held online. Based on the submitted texts, we will present guidelines for writing, touch on some common dilemmas, and help participants improve their texts.
The number of places is limited. The workshop is primarily aimed at young artists, but other professions in contemporary art that encounter writing are also welcome.
