The visual language of the ZEBU artist duo rambles between the figurative and the abstract. Their works are minimalistic, bold and characterised by strong compositions and colours.
In DobraVaga gallery they will present a series of paintings that have been continuously created since 2018 alongside other projects, jobs and travels. The paintings, which show free associations from everyday situations, function as a way for the pair to slow down and reflect. At the exhibition, the artists will also display sketches and drawings that give an insight into their creative process, and paint a mural inside the gallery.
ZEBU is a visual arts duo from Berlin, founded in 2015 by Lynn Lehmann and Dennis Gärtner. They both graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the Weissensee School of Art and the University of the Arts Berlin in 2017. They have displayed their works in solo and group exhibitions in Berlin, Seoul, Bologna, Valencia, Saint Petersburg, London, New York, Santiago de Chile and Tokyo. Creating at the intersection of illustration, graphic design and painting, ZEBU’s work is showcased in print products, murals and exhibitions.
