Join us for an online zine workshop, which we are preparing as part of the third exhibition of our reading room zines.
The exhibition is focusing on zines that act as collections or collection points of various things. The zines from our collection that we focused on this time and on the basis of which we are preparing the workshop revolve around collecting – from collecting old recipes, photos of birthday maypoles, social network posts, to recording short stories, captured moments or ideas. Such zines reflect the interests of the authors and serve as documentation.
The zine workshop, designed for anyone who would like to spend a creative afternoon with us and make zines from home, will take place on Zoom. You will first learn how to make a mini zine from an A3 or A4 sheet, and then you will use the drawing technique to create your own collection-zine. The workshop will be led by visual artist Ema Kobal, a member of the DobraVaga team and the curator of the ZINE VITRINE exhibitions.
To participate you will need:
- your favourite writing and drawing tools
- sketching paper
- one or more sheets of paper, size A4 or A3, any colour or hardness
- scissors or cutter
