Join us for a workshop that we are preparing as part of our zine reading room display on the topic of personal stories. The exhibition includes extremely personal zines that bear witness to unusual occurrences, adventures and inventions.
The personal stories cover all art styles and aesthetic approaches, they are intimate and unique. Through our display, we are referring to one of the main features of contemporary zines: that any enthusiast of the medium can make them, that they can be bold in their production, and that the range of topics is not and will never be limited. Personal stories invite those intrigued by them to witness and feel the lives of the authors, their protagonists and images.
At the workshop, we will develop our stories through playing and print them using foam rubber and a simple graphic technique. We will join the products into a group zine, and each participant will receive their own copy.
The workshop, which is intended for everyone, will be led by visual artist Ema Kobal, an associate of DobraVaga and the curator of ZINE VITRINE exhibitions.
