Girlhood Is a Spectrum is an auto-ethnographic collection of screenshots of group chats, memes and photos that reflects on friendship and the female experience through a prism of self-irony and humour.
She (confusingly) navigates her late twenties and sometimes more, sometimes less successfully searches for herself, her community and her place in a patriarchal society. From sending job applications, to the experience of daily sexism, to the bloody experience of emptying the menstrual cup, ah, and of course navigating various situationships.
*The zine is autobiographical, reflecting only the experience of the author and her friends, and does not generalise the experience of women in the world (especially marginalised women).
