Important Announcement is a fictional village paper that features an entertaining and romantic story about a perfect world, where everyday events and situations intertwine into an idyllic and happy story.
In her naive way, the author wanted to create a utopia, drawing inspiration from her everyday life and focusing on things and moments that bring the magic of simplicity and joy to life.
Sangara Perhaj (1998) is a multimedia artist who combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary expression. She is inspired by vivid colours, different materials and simple humour in everyday situations. She is currently finishing her undergraduate studies in video and new media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. She has so far exhibited at the solo exhibition Ladies and Gentlemen! in the DobraVaga gallery (2020) and participated in the PORTAL 2-7-7-7-8 project – Help! I Got Stuck (2021) and the Peekaboo! exhibition (2022) at Kino Šiška. She has also participated in several group exhibitions, including S03E02 at Layer House (2020), the Biennial of Independent Illustration (2021) at Kino Šiška, The Backyard Project exhibition in Thessaloniki (2022) and 5,000,000,000 Cigs in Portorož (2023). Since 2019, Sangara Perhaj has been a member of the Podmladek art collective, with which she exhibited in several projects, including the POP UP! Student Exhibition in Škuc. Between 2020 and 2022, she was a member of the activist-art collective Kvadratni Meter.
